
For the most part, my morning begins with a light meal—usually avocado toast or a dairy-free and granola yogurt bowl paired with an matcha latte.
A matcha latte gets my day started; it enchases my mood. Drinking it gives me enough energy to get my morning started without the jittery feeling you get when drinking coffee. It also gets the job done as a Pre-workout. Matcha has a variety of health benefits, it's high in antioxidants, increases energy levels, and boost metabolism.
I enjoy it both hot or over iced depending on the mood. I often pair my matcha with oat milk and a tablespoon of maple syrup. I don’t like too sweet. Using maple syrup is my favorite. It’s a healthier sugar alternative, plus it gives my latte that better sweetness.
You always want to be sure you are buying premium quality, none of that cheap sh*t (ceremonial grade). I like to use Akira Organic Matcha.

Easy to make Hot Matcha Latte
INGREDIENTS
1tsp matcha powder (2tsp if you like your matcha stronger)
1/4 cup hot water
1 cup unsweetened oat milk (or milk of choice)
1 tbsp maple syrup
Place matcha powder in a small bowl. Add in the hot cup of water and slowly whisk until completely smooth. Pour your matcha mixture into a mug.
Place milk in a small pan and add maple syrup. Heat the mixture, then froth with your handheld electric frother, a milk steamer, or by simply whisking vigorously.
Slowly add the milk to the mug and stir.
